Into the Blue World (蒼の世界へ Aoi no Sekai e) is the seventeenth chapter of the Kozue Amano manga Amanchu!.
It was originally published in Monthly Comic Blade, and later republished in Amanchu! Volume 3 on August 10th, 2010.

At the crack of dawn, Futaba Ooki walks down the abandoned main road while waiting to be picked up by the rest of the Diving Club. The group arrives in Mato Katori's car, with Hikari Kohinata, Makoto Ninomiya, Ai Ninomiya, and even the cats Cha and Ohime crammed in. Futaba explains that Cha and Ohime, dressed in a tie and hairbow respectively, were sat at the school gate for them when the group met up, as if they were waiting for them to arrive. Setting off, the group all settles down in the back of the car, with Hikari and Ai both fast asleep leaning on Futaba's shoulders. While driving, Mato tells Futaba she should also try to get some sleep, but Futaba says that she can't because this is her first ocean drive and she's too excited.

The sun now up, the group arrives at their destination - Izu's Osezaki Cape, a popular location for beginner divers in the Kanto region. They meet up with two of the other Yumegaoka High School teachers who have set things up for the group before they arrived. Mato calls a pre-dive meeting of the group to explain their diving plans - first, the group will snorkel slowly across to a buoy set out in the ocean. There is a rope attached underneath the buoy that beginners can use to slowly descend. The group put on their equipment, do their buddy checks, and start to enter the ocean.

Futaba puts on her snorkel and dips her head underwater while swimming for the first time, getting her first glimpse of fish swimming around her. She continues swimming, and sees that the ocean floor is slowly getting further and further away as the water becomes deeper, which makes her nervous. Sensing her nerves, Hikari catches up with her and takes her hand, swimming together to the buoy. The group takes a quick break hanging onto the buoy, and Futaba begins to have a panic attack about the fact she can't see the ocean floor and can't put her feet on down.

While panicking, Hikari notices that one of Futaba's flippers has fallen off, which makes her panic even more, but suddenly a diver appears from the dark ocean below with it in his hand and gives it back to her, explaining that it had floated down from above him. Futaba looks underwater to watch the diver float back down, and notices hundreds of columns of bubbles floating up from below her and is amazed by how beautiful it is. Hikari explains that it's columns of air bubbles from the divers down below. Hikari asks Futaba if she's read, and Futaba tells Hikari that she's fine - the anxiety she had is now melted away and was replaced by excitement. Hikari takes Futaba's hand and the two begin to descend into the sea.
