The time I spent with Akane and Chizuru and the time I'm spending with Pikari were seperate times, yet now they have merged together. Being able to bring different times and spaces together like this... it somehow fels amazing, and makes my heart all fluttery.
Time Together (一緒の時間 Issho no Jikan) is the twenty-third chapter of the Kozue Amano manga Amanchu!.
It was originally published in Monthly Comic Blade on February 30th, 2011, and was later republished in Amanchu! Volume 4 on March 10th, 2012. In the original Monthly Comic Blade serialization, Chapter 23 was released as Chapter 22, but the chapter order was altered for the volume releases.
Futaba Ooki's middle school friends from Tokyo Akane Mizunashi and Chizuru Himeno travel by train to visit Futaba in Izu. Chizuru wonders if Futaba is lonely without them, since she has so much trouble making friends. The two meet up with Futaba, and ask her if she's been ok, and she smiles and tells them she's been fine. They leave the station and meet up with Hikari Kohinata and her grandmother Kino in the parking lot - Kino and Hikari are going to be their guides for their visit.
They first visit Kazumura restaurant and are shocked by the huge tempura prawns they are served. Futaba smiles to herself at seeing Hikari and Chizuru interact, and Hikari notices. Futaba says that although her old life in Tokyo with Akane and Chizuru was in the past and her time now with Hikari is her present, it makes her heart feel fluttery to see these two parts of her life merge together.
After eating, the group heads to Kinosaki coast, admiring the view of the high cliffs overlooking the sea. Chizuru speaks to Futaba and explains she feels a little dejected that Futaba's so easily managed to make a new life for herself, because she'd assumed that she would feel lonely without them. Futaba explains that she had felt very lonely, sometimes so lonely that she felt like the sky was going to fall on her, but then she met Hikari and found her place in Izu. Akane tells her she's proud of her; Chizuru, by comparison, watches Futaba run back over to Hikari and feels strange.
They next visit Jogasaki suspension bridge, and while crossing it Futaba asks if Akane and Chizuru would like to try a diving experience - it was Hikari's idea. The girls have both always wanted to try it after hearing all about diving from Futaba. Hikari grabs her phone and calls Mato Katori to ask if she'd be willing to help on the dive; as she does so, Chizuru loses her footing and begins to fall, but is caught by Futaba before she hits the ground. Chizuru wants to say thank you, but doesn't, her conflicted feelings stopping her. She runs off to catch up with Futaba and Akane, and Hikari continues her phonecall with Mato.
